I purchased an older Egg Harbor which has been out of the water for a few years and needed someone to go through the boat to make sure systems were OK and make needed repairs to be able to bring the boat from Westbrook CT to Newburyport MA. I met with Phil a couple of times to go over repairs needed and after giving Phil an initial check for his assessment I met Phil a couple weeks later to give him several thousand dollars as partial payment for needed repairs. After a couple of weeks I wanted to meet at the boat & Phil couldn't make it because his Dad became ill, they a few weeks later when I wanted to reschedule Phil was sick and no return calls, countless emails and text and no response. I finally spoke to him a month later after he began running his craigslist ad again and he was all apologizes and I'm his number one priority ..... He then did go one last time to the boat and removed the carburators to rebuild and left some of his tools on the boat. Tried numerous times to reconnect nothing, I got fed-up told the boatyard what had happened and banned him from my boat and the boatyard.

I called the CT State Police who got involved and were prepaired to issue a warrant for his arrest for grand larceny. I found out Phil has been in prison for DUI and that he is currently driving on a suspended license. I texted Phil one last time to say I was meeting with CT State police to provide documents and make a statement for the police to issue an arrest warrant. Phil's "girlfriend" replied from Phil's number that she would return the carburators the next day to the boatyard which she did to avoid police involvement. I also have a lawyer representing me to recover the money that was paid.
