According to online reports, I'm not the first to be scammed by these criminals. Front Source Tech works distributes "refurbished" computers through Walmart and Amazon. Here's the scam: They sent me a computer that absolutely NOT refurbished in any way. The battery was completely shot, the mouse pad was broken, when I tried to run updates (only by plugging it in) it wouldn't update properly, saying there were "fatal errors" on the hard drive.
When I sent it back to them, they removed over $40 in fees from my return for "restocking and shipping fees". When I pointed out exactly what they did to me, they claimed they would have "sent me another one"! Why would anyone want MORE broken equipment from them? I told them I'd be writing reports like this one here and a "Robert Wise" of customer support said that my "threats have been reported to the proper authorities for cyber threats".
So, after they robbed me of my money, they tried to threaten me with charges of "cyber crime". What a joke of a company. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CRIMINALS.
