In October of 2008 my partner and I applied for an equipment lease loan through Frontier Capital (aka Ramsgate Leasing). I confirmed with my credit alert program (tied to online credit bureaus) that my credit had been viewed by Frontier Capital. I was contacted within a day by a representative by the name of Norm Cohen who told me my company was approved for $50k for a lease loan. All I was required to was submit purchase orders/invoices from the equipment vendors and Frontier Capital would contact them to be paid and soon delivered. One of the conditions prior to this happening was that I was required to overnight the first payment of the 60 month lease %1300 (business check). This check was cashed by Frontier Capital a week after received. The vendors and my office called and emailed Frontier Capital's office several times over following 2 months. Neither Frontier Capital contacts that I had spoken with prior (Norm Cohen or Ryan Kenning) would return my calls or emails. Their web site frontiercapllc.com was down and things began to appear more evident as being an outright fraud. In December my partner called Frontier's contact numbers from a different number( Frontier Capital numbers: 201-353-0231, 201-353-0232,and 201-353-0061 ) someone called back. They did not know it was the same company owners that they ripped off for a few months prior for $1300 on a bogus approved lease loan. When I identified the guy as Steve Nardi I had told him I'd be interested in his new tax reduction program under the conditions his company refunded me the $1300 that we were scammed out of from October for a equipment lease that never materialized. He first lied and said he was only a janitor there (after he had already indentified himself as Steve Nardi, from the email promotions that Frontier Capital sends out). I tell him that his operation appears suspect and asked when I can expect a refund. He claims he doesn't know anything about a lease loan or my company name then hangs up on me. Later that week I get an email from their office stating that I will be refunded the $1300 "soon". This "soon" was 2 months ago today granted these guys are still sending out current email promotions for Corporate Leases. How these guys have the nerve to continue sending email promotions under the same business name puzzles me. I was able to obtain the lease loan elsewhere granted my credit score is above 750. There's no reason I've been turned down for credit in the past 5 years. Nonetheless, why would I spend $1300 towards a first payment of a lease loan that I was not absolutely approved for. I have all paperwork, emails, and recorded phone calls to support my story. Give me some time..... I'll have my webbie friend post them on You Tube for me.

It took some kicking, screaming, and whining but after about 6-7 months they sent my money back. You want to get results you may want to file with the Attorney General's office in your state and theirs. Good luck.
PS- I don't know anything about the other guy at that company.
Good Luck

Please be advised that this customer has lied on this report. While it is true that we collected a commitment from the customer, it is untrue that we have any connection whatsoever to any company called Ramsgate Leasing. In addition, the only funds we ever collected from the customer was on a check written to Frontier Capital, and the name and address listed on the check was handwritten.
The customer told us he was interested in securing financing for equipment, and we indicated we were interested in assiting him with his request. We issued a proposal, which he accepted. Then, he proceeded to send us invoices for items which were un-financeable - perishables, consumables, etc. The invoices he provided had no contact information on them, and were completely illegible, so there was no way to ascertain what the "equipment" really was, or whom to speak to at the various suppliers. When we requested this information, he became irritated, began to threaten us, and demanded his money back. This led us to believe that he was hiding something - perhaps looking to obtain a loan for items which did not really exist.....
At this point, we indicated that we would not be able to help him anyway based on the new information he provided, and we tried to return the funds right away, but the address came up as incorrect, and we received our check back in the mail. Our attorney also sent Mr. Nolan a priority overnight to try and settle this matter, but the priority overnight package came back as undeliverable. At that time, we sent the customer a fax, advising that we are trying to settle this matter, but it appears the address is incorrect and our mail is being returned. This fax, too, went unanswered.
Therefore, we are led to believe that this is an individual who is not interested in closing out this matter, but solely wants to exact some kind of revenge on Frontier Capital because he is upset that we could not secure the financing.
He continues to send us threatening emails, but whenever we make it clear that our attorney is trying to reach him, or whenever we try to verify the information he provided so that we can settle this matter, he refuses to respond.
If there is any way to settle this matter to everyone's satisfaction, we are interested in doing so.
