Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...
Just a heads up, I called my CC company and found that as of 09/05/04, FurnitureUSA (crooks) are attempting to dispute the stop payment I placed on my deposit!!
Of course these people have no intentions of delivering furniture... but they still want my money!! Amazing!
All of you need to follow up with your CC companies if you opened disputes to get you $$ back, because these crooks seem to stopping at NOTHING to get your $$!!

I did speak with the sheriff's office in NC; they mentioned it may be the bank (not FU-USA) that may be disputing the deposit money. It sounds like the bank representing FU-USA is out a load of cash, and perhaps they are trying to recoup some losses.? I don't know.
I am not worried that I'll lose the chargeback. My CC asked if I have the furniture, and since I don't, the bank (or FU-USA) has no claim to the money.
I will post further details as they come my way. I am surprised that I'm the only one so far to have a CC company tell me that a counter has been launched, but at the same time, the bank or FU-USA has not supplied supporting evidence, and I doubt they can.
