Fusion Luxury Motors--Obi Watch out Chatsworth California

So I saw a Mercedes on Craigslist and called, and got Obi.  He gave me the address of his business in Chatsworth.  When I arrived it was a warehouse full of luxury cars.  He told me that many of these cars cost in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.  I figured that since he deals in such high end cars, he was probably good to work with on what he called his "personal" car.  Well, let's just say always remember Obi is a used car salesman.  The car had several major undisclosed issues.  First, after about three days a serious transmission issue surfaced, that ended up costing four figures to fix.  Then when I filled up the gas tank for the first time, there was an intense gasoline smell.  It was determined to be a leak in the gas tank.  Fortunately it turned out that Mercedes, after many consumer complaints, had recently agreed with the government to fix the issue at their cost.  Since Obi hadn't bothered to get it fixed, I had to deal with it.  The car was in the shop for several days.  The last surprise came from DMV.  When I purchaed the car Obi told me he had just just paid the registration so that it would not be due for almost a year.  Nice.  But a few weeks later I get a letter from DVM stating that after paying the registration, Obi then disputed the charge on his credit card and was refunded the money.  After contacting (and having to deal with) DMV I found out that I was on the hook for the registration, too.  All this was within a few weeks of owning the car Obi sold me.  So, all in all, I'd say that my experience with Obi was a very poor one.  As I said, when dealing with Obi, just remember you are dealing with a used car salesman.  Fair warning.
