I just left the Future Fitness establishment and Mike the owner did not allow me to officially cancel the fitness contract. His demeanor was not fun but very intimidating and threatening. He told me that I had to sign a contract which included an A/R fee, and he would not explain to me what the fee included or required. He mentioned that I should sign the agreement and then call his Accounting Department for more information.

Mike created a nasty and hostel environment when he snatched the cancellation form from underneath my hand as I was writing on the contract.

He told me that I was not able to cross out any part of the cancellation agreement, even if I did not understand what the agreement outlined. I asked him to explain what I was required to sign so that we could both move forward and have a pleasant day.

I tried to cancel my membership on 9/15/2008 at 10:26am with the help of Mike the owner. He told me that I am a member for life with no option of removal. I guess that's why they claim to have the lowest member drop out rate in America year after year! I would appreciate confirmation in writing within 15 days that the cancellation has gone into effect. Thank you for your assistance.

I am sending this letter to the Board of Chosen Freeholders of Burlington County of New Jersey.
