Gage Ford boat repair fraud Spring Grove Illinois

Gage Ford was referred to me as someone who does mobile boat stern drive repair work in his spare time (he is employed by a local Fox Lake marina).

I initially contacted Ford via telephone on 7/17/18, and eventually arranged a visit to my home that took place on 7/25/18. Ford did advise me that he would require a $50.00 cash deposit to visit me onsite, diagnose the problem with my boat, and obtain necessary repair parts. I agreed, and paid him. Ford told me he would call the next day with status of finding parts. When he did not call, I called him on 7/27/18 and left a voice mail. Ford responded with a text indicating he was still looking for needed parts. 

On 8/9/18, having not heard anything, I again called Ford and left a voice mail. He did not respond, nor has he responded to seven subsequent voice mails through 9/6/18. My worst fear of paying Ford $50.00 in cash before any work actually being done has been realized.

I feel Ford had planned this theft from day one. Stay away from this guy. He is a fraud.
