In total i have had 5 accounts terminated by GaiaOnline, some with cash, real mony, still in the accounts for either "buying of gold" or "botting". Or so they say. After many complaints and reports filed with the BBB since 2008 the following is the information i have been able to garnish.
Accounts #*****179, #*****822, #*****251 & #*****292 with an estimated total amount invested of $427.50 were suspended on 6/19/2008 and permanently banned on 7/30/2009 for receiving cumulatively 2 million or so in Gaia gold (according to recent information) from an account named Tolee2.
Originally suspended for investigation of the selling and/or purchasing of virtual gold with currency. Upon denial by me via e-mail a rebuttal was received dated 6/21/2008 stating, "...while you yourself may not have bought botted gold via your account, you received gold as well as items from other users..."
This other user leads to my 5th account. Account #*****632 named Tolee22. And not the Tolee2 named by Gaia as the purchaser of botted gold.
Tolee22 was an account opened on 6/25/2008 and banned on 10/8/2008 with a total amount invested of $50 of which $10 remains unused and unrefunded.
Tolee22 was "TERMINATED" for botting 3500 Gaia gold according to e-mails. Botting, according to Gaia, is the use of a script (non human interaction). Coincidentally during this particular day i WAS bidding vigorously on a pair of Fairy Wings (which i did not win). All bids & updates hand entered by me. Why did i need to update so much?
In 2008 Gaia made many changes to their program. One of the changes was to add a minute rule to bids in their virtual marketplace (very similar to e-Bay). If a bid is entered within and/or upto the last seconds of the active listing then it automatically adds another minute to the end time. Which means instead of the listing ending on time it continues on while people are still bidding. These particular fairy wings went on for more than 20 minutes after it should have ended.
But regardless of the botting accusation, Tolee22 did not have the sufficient funds to pass on 2 million in gold to any other accounts. However conveniently it is the reason that Gaia Online has recently given on my 2nd BBB report. It has taken me almost 2 years to garnish all this information.
And in the meantime Gaia keeps pushing for people to open up more accounts even to resolve the banned/terminated ones. Without the release of your e-mail accounts or cash. As well as the fact that other known gold purchasers who have been suspended have received their accounts back after a year without permanent termination.
All above information provided from e-mails, reports, receipts & documentation in my possession.
