My loved one was recently hired by Super Service. Another individual who had previosly worked for this company had come back and went thru the necessary re-hiring process. Thats how my loved one met this person. This person who we will call Bob was nice enough to give my loved one a ride to the terminal in NC> Along the way my loved one found out by talking and observing Bob that he was a nutcase and a drug addict. So the arrive at the terminal to pick up their trucks and my loved one gets a clunker. The first thing the macro showed him was the call from the last driver from where he had broken down. Then my loved one couldnt get the macro to work properly. He asked the recruiter for help and he acted like he didnt have the time and acted like he could care less. He had to literally beg to get the guys help. He asked several times before the guy helped him. To come to find out the dumbies in the office put in the wrong SS# thats why he couldnt get it to work. Then theres the tolls. You want us to pay the toll but you will reimburse us. Thats BS!!! My loved one macroed in asking for money for the toll and they sent a reply back of $1.00. What kind of company is this? Any respectable company would not have presented themselves in this way.

I was employed by Super Service for a considerable period of time. There are several reasons for negative comments about the company.
1. Management simply do not know how to operate a successful trucking company. They are given to "cutting corners" trying to gain an advantage and when things do not pan out as planned, they cover their own behinds and blame the divers. A few examples of how they do this is advance the scheduled delivery time and when the driver cannot meet the deadline, they blame him for being late. Another way they mess things up is to cancel one load in order to get another one and run the driver late getting the second dispatch loaded on time.
I my case, I was dispatched to pick up a load. I was within minutes of being at the customer and waiting for time to expire to go on in. They canceled that load and dispatched me on a Haz Mat load that I was to load that same afternoon. I was too far away from the second load to get it that afternoon and had to load it the following morning. It was scheduled to be in Indiana the at the same time I was actually loading it. The receiver refused to unload it that day and it was a Friday. This is an example of the unprofessionally way they do business. Yes, of course, I got the blame for pick up and delivery being late.
2. They are stingy with advance money. They are too short on office personnel at night and I have waited until the wee hours of the morning after getting unloaded for money to pay lumpers. This is uncalled for and takes an unnecessary toll on the drivers.
3. Another serious and extremely dangerous problem with Super Service is the shop personnel failing to adequately tighten wheel lug nuts. Within a few weeks time frame, I had three incidents of wheels coming louse or off. Other drivers were having the same problem.

You are told when you are hire with Super Service they do nit have ez-pass for tolls. You can get an advance if needed to get you by and pay the tolls. This is not for your living exspenses on the road. I think your( loved one) did not conduct his or herself as the company rules tell each and every driver to do. Yes it will take you about 3 weeks to get your money back but if you do not send in your toll recepts you will not be reimbursed for those tolls.
I have never had a problem with Super Service not doing what they say that they will do. Just remember there are two sides to every story.
Please remember that the PERFECT TRUCKING COMPANY IS NOT HIRING Because they are are perfect and why would any driver ever leave them.
