I received a statement from Convergent stating that I owe $1499.64. The statement states that a married name that didn't last very long.

I know in good faith that firstly, I haven't taken any out any credit cards or loans; secondly, I do not recognize this company; and thirdly, my credit report does not show anything of this nature on it.I watch my credit report very carefully.

This company is offering me a settlement my account for 35% of total balance. They are offering three ways to pay it. And the statement is confusing because there is the creditor, the original creditor, and the actual collection agency.

Galaxy Asset Purchasing, LLC Convergent Outsourcing, Inc. They are billing me for something I've never had from them. Apparently it's some kind of credit card or something. Funny thing is that the account they claim I had has never appeared in my credit reports which I keep track of. It's a scam to collect money from people who pay what they owe. Houston Texas
