Ordered a foosball table from GameTables4Less as a Christmas gift for my kids. When I picked up the table from the shipping company (Dayton Freight), I noticed a few minor dings on the box, but since it was the Saturday before Christmas, I signed for the table and assumed that if there was a problem, it could be taken care of after the holidays. When I got home, I gathered the kids around and opened the box to find that the foosball table was cracked in half -- totally out of proportion to the small dings on the box.
I immediately called David Berner at GameTables4Less who yelled at me for taking delivery of a box with dings on it and suggested that I file a claim with Dayton Freight.
After several months, Dayton Freight denied my claim citing the signed delivery receipt. I called GameTables and was told essentially that they would not be willing to help me resolve this issue. Eventually after an extremely rude/abusive interaction, the woman at GameTables hung up on me.
My wife and I have used the internet for many major purchases over the years and have never encountered a company with such disregard for customer service. Buyer BEWARE!

Cunsumers need to understand that they need to accept some responsibility for their actions or lack of action. Was it Berner's fault that the table was damaged in shipment?
If you see damage to a package and you sign for it stating it was received in good condition, then several day's later say "hey this thing is broken", what kind of credibility do you think you have?
Take this as "lesson learned". When you receive something that you have to sign for, look at it. If it looks damaged, no matter how small, ask questions. Either refuse the shipment or make sure that you note on the shipping invoice that you sign that there was damage to the box. Thats what the shippers insurance is for. However if you sign that you recived the item in proper condition (which you do by signing), you have signed away any recourse that you may have had.
Berner did nothing wrong, take responsibiliy for your actions.
