I usually do pretty good research on companies before doing business with but was looking forward to a move at the end of the month and decided to be trusting, much to my displeasure.

Gametag.com offers buy/sell digital game accounts, in my particular case I was trying to sell a few video games to help finance my move into a new apartment.  I provided all request information and received an offer in regards to how much they would offer and subsequently accepted.  I have read varying reviews that they are legit but slow/ not legit but at this moment am leaning towards not legit.  The following is the time frame of events:

Submitted account information on June 2nd, 2013.

Via tracking on their website, the status of my sale was changed to "Assigned to agent" and has not changed since then, today is 06/12/2013.

06/05/13:  Gametag secures accounts and sends me two e-mails reading Pending payment and contact information, requesting payment method information and contact information to which i responded promptly (within an hour).

06/12/13:  Status on website has not changed from "assigned to agent", no payment received, no additional contact from gametag.com.  Numerous messaged have been sent from every method I could think of including facebook, facebook fan page, website mail, etc.  (Their live chat is non-existant, 24/7 says all tag memebers are occupied and gives you a format to submit a mail).

My advice would be to avoid this website, this is a legitmate experience and I hope I can save others the displeasure of getting scammed.  My plan currently is to wait a few more days for a response/ see what happens and if no progress is made will attempt to recover what I lost.

Will be sure to update page with resolution, whether they eventually come through and I have to amend or end up having to attempt to recover my assets, be it successful or non-successful.

You're the one scamming the game companies

AUTHOR: Simple - ()

POSTED: Friday, January 10, 2014

No offense buddy but you're not supposed to be buying and selling accounts in the first place. You're scamming the game companies trying to profit from something that doesn't belong to you. Who cares though. It's all about you right? Disregarding that fact, the guy told you what to do below and you basically just flamed him. The only one to blame is yourself for trying to profit off something that you don't own.
