Garage Door Service Company- Atlanta Terrible workmanship and service ! Did not fulfill warranty Atlanta, Georgia

In November of 2009, my wife called this company to repair our garage door that had come off the tracks and warped slightly. They seemingly repaired it for a little over $500 for parts and labor. Within a couple of months, one or sometimes two of the wheel like parts would pop out the tracks. Because it seemed to be a quick simple fix, I would pop it back in and forget about it. Unfortunately, this would happen randomly every few months or so and I would take care of it. After more than a year of doing this I finally called the company and asked them if they could take care of this minor problem.

The person on the phone was nice and said it wouldn't be a problem. The person that came out to perform the service was completely unprofessional. He was in a beat up pick up truck with his dog. Because of this I assumed he was not an employee of Garage Door Service Company and he admitted that he wasn't. He told me he could "fix" our problem for $150 and would only take cash or check. He never the discussed the "lifetime" warranty on parts that was on my original invoice.

When I declined the service, he was visibly irritated and told me there was a minimum charge for the service call to come out there. I refused to pay because none of that was mentioned to me over the phone by the "nice" Garage Door Service Company representative. I had to convince him to leave our property. Our garage door has now come out of one of the tracks and warped slightly. It's very similar to the problem that Garage Door Service Company allegedly fixed two years ago. I've called another company this time and will take another big hit to the wallet, I'm sure. I hope by writing this though that I can help prevent other people from the making the same mistake we did by using Garage Door Service Company.
