I had contacted this company earlier in 2009 when I attempted to register for these same rebates.  I did receive an email with a telephone number to contact 815-741-3900.  I eventually spoke with someone (in early November) who assured me that all rebates would be honored; they were being swamped with submissions, but that if I was patient everything would turn out OK.

Well, I too had my December receipts returned to me yesterday, marked by the USPS as "moved - left no address - unable to forward"; so I tried calling this number. (note: if you try it, press '1' when asked if you have a rebate certificate; you will get no satisfaction at all if you press '2' for 'other questions')  I then got a recorded message stating:

"Please be advised that myfreetravel has closed our rebate business and that we will be unable to honor any monthly rebate certificates redeemed or registered after 12/01/2009.  This is due to an extremely high response to our offer and responses have far exceeded the numbers anticipated by our projection.  This has resulted in a shortage of funds to meet required payments.  We will continue to attempt payment for any qualified rebates submitted prior to 12/01/2009."

You get the same message if you try to call their 800 number (800-219-4152).  Regardless of which number you call, you will get no opportunity to leave a message or anything else.

"We will continue to attempt payment for any qualified rebates submitted prior to 12/01/2009."  OK, but I'm not holding my breath while I wait.
