Gayla Capers, new principal at Clay Academy which is under the ministry of the Potter's House in Dallas, Texas mistreated and abused both myself and my daughter for what reason---I do not know. She would repeatedly give pertinent information to the other teachers that she brought aboard but would leave me out.
She is a pathological liar. My daughter, who was in the first grade this past year and in the class of one of the teachers Gayla brought aboard, would repeatedly come home from school with as much as nine pages of homework on weeknights. Although we also paid a book fee within the private school tuition, my daughter to date, did not receive all of her books and was forced to do work off of copied worksheets.
I am also a teacher of Drama. I have written several original drama scripts for programs at this school. On one occasion, tickets were sold to my production without my permission. There was absolutely nothing that I could do because I found that in the private school contract any original work done there automatically becomes the property of this school.
Currently, I received a letter in the mail from this principal stating that my contract was not renewed for the following school year without further explanation.
When I applied for unemployment, I was turned down. Rumor also has it that monies from several fundraisers and other programs are in question from parents because they did not receive merchandise by the principal in charge, rumor has it that although I was a certified teacher, Gayla has replaced me with an uncertified teacher friend. Yet, this woman remains as "principal".
She is horrible. Others seem as if they are afraid to speak up about her wrongdoing. A PR person, Trina Terrell, was supposedly hired to do "damage" control, but nothing seems to be done to this woman. It also seems as if my residential telephone and computer is being monitored. What can be done?

Response to resolving within the ministry

In response to "airing dirty laundry",it seems that denial or diversionary techniques tend to justify mistreatment and harrassment as well.
I was mistreated. The necessary parties were aware and seemed to turn a deaf ear.
I also tried to resolve this matter with HR and this Principal directly to no avail because she's still the principal and I'm out of the picture. Was I a liability risk? Was this harrassment a necessary part of "motivating" people and encouraging production?
Was this necessary to do business? Why continue to promote "poison" up the ranks?
Not only did this principal hurt herself by mistreating me and allowing the mistreatment of my daughter, but she has also crippled the school's chances of recruitment of skilled employees and has risked the school's reputation and credibility that could have been prevented.
If unity is the answer, then let's be real about the matter and truthful.

It seems as though this matter would be better handled if taken through the proper channels before airing dirty laundry before the public.
If the school is a ministry up under the TD Jakes ministry, then perhaps the complaintant should go through the ranks of being heard there and fast and pray before doing so. God is just.
