I used a third party custodial company, IRA Resources, to invest over $51,000 in a company called Global Business Services, Inc. (GBSI.) Bought different class stocks with the company and was told by both officers Stephen M. Thompson and Robert Milligan of GBSI that these were sure to go up time. While I didn't expect miracles, I was assured that I would get some positive returns on my investment.

Within just several months, personnel at GBSI became increasingly difficult to reach. They were not returning my calls, my messages to them went unanswered. I found out that my investment had encountered several reverse mergers and I ended up losing a great deal of money! It was only a few months after I made my initial investment.

I unsuccessfully tried (through my custodial third party, IRA Resources, who incidentally did NOT monitor my investment) to contact GBSI to see if I could pull out all -or some- of my remaining money. I was met with either no answer, or told that it was not possible at this time. After several years of not getting anywhere in the way of finding out exactly where my investment went and not knowing HOW I could just lose so much money, I started filing complaints. IRA Resources came back with a response that "I" should have been on top as to what was happening with my account and that "they" do NOT monitor what is going on with the value. I wonder what I was paying their service fees for!!

Through extensive research via Internet and through stock transfer companies, I was told that GBSI had become Energetic Holdings, then Pavilion Energy Resources, and finally Leland Energy. The stocks that were valued fairly high were now just worth pennies. I know the economic state of our society took a header, but I do think that losing this much money was ridiculous. I was very suspicious. When I looked further into what happened, (i.e. followed the money) I started to see that even before GBSI, Stephen Thompson had some sketchy shell-type companies, including World Call, and some of those 'pop-up' mailbox stores that came about in the '90's.

After many attempts to deal unsuccessfully with IRA Resources, I don't know if there is any way to get any -even a part- of my investment back. However, I do want this to serve as a warning to others, especially if they are contacted by a company Leland Energy. I am pretty sure that there was serious wrongdoing in addition to the crappy state of the economy and our society's investments taking a dump!
