Hello, I am adding my name to the list of dissatisfied people with GC Heating service. On November 29 my Furnace and Hot Water Tank was serviced by Wilson from GC Heating service. After service, Wilson told me that he had flushed water from my tank via the Pressure Relief Valve and now the valve was leaking and the part needed to be replaced. It would cost $150 plus labor to repair. My Hot Water tank was working fine before he touched it so I decided to get a second opinion.

After having a second Gas fitter in, I paid only $20 for the part. Not $150 GC Heating was going to charge me. I was told, you DO NOT flush a tank via the Pressure relief valve as Wilson had done. Instead, you use the drain valve at the bottom of the tank. Wilson clearly did not know what he was doing and caused the problem, then tried to charge me and overcharge me, making me pay for his mistake. Also, upon inspection of my furnace, dust was found in the fan compartment, it was clear the job was not done right. I paid again to have the furnace serviced properly. After reading the other reports on this site and other websites about this company and with my own personal experience, I will never use GC Heating again and caution other people not to use them either.
