GC SERVICES RIPOFF WITHDREW CHECKING ACCOUNT FUNDS WITH NO APPROVAL & DECEPTION ST LOUIS Missouri

I had a credit card with american express, they sent it to gc services in houston tx, but ended up in their st louis operation. On 12/3/03 gc services withdrew 881.90 from my checking account without my knowledge or approval. They have continued to harass me by calling day and night and refusing to work with a settlment company I hired to resolve this debt. I have sent them a power of attorney letter, a cease and desist letter, and a verification of debt letter, yet they continue to refuse to respond.

It is my understanding that they are to stop calling me after they receive these letters. Last week a collector I have her name, from gc services called and said that she had talked with my counselor at the settlment company that is representing me and that she was told they no longer represented me and that they had washed their hands of me. She further stated that I had better pay off the debt or bear the consequences.

Since this last conversation with gc services, i have learned that in fact my settlment company who is representing me had never talked to the collector, nor had they dropped me as a client. I believe that gc services has gone way overboard in their attemp to collect this debt, especially since i am trying to resolve the issue with them. I am in the process of filing fraud claim with my bank and have also filed a complaint with the FTC.

I hope this does never happen to anyone else out there. By the way I have all the names of everyone that has contacted me from gc services.
