I found this site on Google about a year ago looking for someone to service my GE dishwasher after it refused to drain properly. A tech came out and pulled out about about 5 small pieces of debris from the dishwasher that was preventing it from draining.

They state on their site that it is $90 just to come out to your home to look at the appliance-- and that parts and labor are additional.

The gentleman last year chargd me only the $90 trip charge because he mentioned it was such a minimal job.

The guy that came out two days ago (JIM)-- charged $190.94 for pulling out 2 less pieces of small debris!

Unfortunately my stepson was the one who approved the charge ( I NEVER would have!) and gave Jim the blank check I left (me thinking the charge would be similar to last time or slightly more).

I have ADT cameras in my home and I was watching the tech just stand there staring under my sink. He was at my home a total of 30 minutes, of which about 10 minutes were for the removal of 2 tiny paper pieces and a water bottle top.

Bottom line was-- he saw a nice home and decided to upcharge. My receipt actually said he charged 145 dollars for taking out these small pieces but he discounted it to 100 for me to total $190.94! What a sweetheart! Yeeeah right.

When I called the phone number and spoke to someone he said the tech charges however much they decide fit. I asked for a supervisor, only to be transferred to a ghetto-fabulous sounding "case manager" who proceeded to tell me how lucky I was to have gotten that discount and the 1st rep I had who only charged me $90 did it as a courtesy. Of course she said that the reps adhere to a strict computer code on "debris charges"....riiiight.

Safe to say, I will never call this company again for repairs. Its a crap shoot. You MAY get a good rep, or you may need Vaseline.
