Ge Capitol Consumer Card Co. they could find my cell number but not my current address to send statements!! Mason Ohio

I purchased glasses back in april and was told i had 6mos before interest and payments kicked in. have been waiting for a statement and contacted store where purchase and updated address info was on file.
Well today i got a CALL on the cell asking for me and then my address etc- the address the collection agency had was 5yrs old(I had used this card then and had no problem) I gladley gave them my new info and asked when I would be getting my 1st statement with payment amounts and due dates, but was informed that I already OWED them past due fee's and they were a COLLECTION agency not cc company.
I explained i had never received statements had no address and never got thru on phone # listed on back of card. They suggested i could do a check over phone today and they would take off "fees " if i payed full $400+. I informed them "not on your life would i give them anymore info or account##s untill i had a PAPER STATEMENT in hand!!!!
Well they said fine-nxt Payment due on Nov 7th And if not payed will have credit reporting agency's notified.
I called Lens
crafters and they have provided me 2 phone numbers that they had on file for this company and I will try contacting them tommorrow.
THEY MANAGED TO FIND MY CELL PHONE NUMBER BUT COULDN"T FIND A CURRENT ADDRESS!!! yeah right.....
After i make a few calls and write a few letters I will pay them off in the next week or so- they won't make any further $$ off me and I'll pass the word on to Lens
crafters corprate hdqtr's that they may want to rethink the relationship with this company..
