Dear GE Money Bank

I have tried many times with your customer service to straighten out my account until I am completely exhausted. There needs to be laws against the harassment employed by your collection agency. I receive threatening letters and today I received 12 phone calls beginning at 8:00am. How long will that continue I don't have a clue. I owe nothing to American Eagle and of course they have lost our good will. Little protects me and my daughter from companies like this one and their collection agency. Right now, their method of collecting money is no better than petty criminal demanding my mney. Let me explain.

1. I applied for received two credit cards from your company American Eagle Outfitters: one for me and one for my 16 year old daughter last year (spring 2007).
2. things went well until she lost her card in July, 2007. I immediately reported it.
3. I paid the small balance on the account. It was a zero balance at that time.
4. Letter rec dated July 30, 2007 closing account; zero balance
5. A charge of $41.50 was made. I disputed it in September 2007.
6. Letter rec dated November 23, 2007. $41.50 and finance charge removed from account. Zero Balance
7. Invoice received in December ($69.80 base of 41.50 plus late fees). Telephone calls to customer service. let the computers catch up with my November letter.
8. January letter: Because you have defaulted to my daughter.
9. More phone calls.
10. Calls to customer service. Jonathan (?) to a supervisor (who spoke poor English) to a machine. Not resolved but found $41.50 credit to account but said I owed fifty some dollars. I explained that must be late fees on the $41.50 account.
11. I have filed a complaint with Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Bureau of Consumer Protection on 2/26/08 (OMB 3084-0047). Filed online at https://rn.ftc.gov
12. Each month the account will increase in late fees which by summer means that I will owe $160 more.

I want our names removed from any credit collection agency reports and notices to credit agencies must be cancelled. I want your agencies to stop the harassing calls and letters. But equally important, the calls have to stop. My cell rings and no one is there. A few minutes later, someone calls.
