Gehan Homes Do Not a House from Gehan Homes Houston Texas

I wouldn't buy a house from Gehan Homes again. They lie and get anything for you to close on their houses. They give better treatment to some of the homebuyers.

They charged us $1,250 for sod for the back of our house. The sod was brown and we wanted it replaced. The contractor said since it was Feb. the grass needed to be watered and it would take. We were told and got it in writing that the sod would be replaced in two months. Now Gehan is going back on their word and will not replace our sod. There were other little things wrong with the house but we overlooked them b/c we were told Gehan has a great warranty. Its is a great warranty on paper.

Our first clue should have been that the contractor did not know what a plummet line is. Plus, Gehan was very rude about us having a home inspection before we closed. Our inspector founds at least 40 things wrong with the house. Gehan fought us about getting everything repaired.

Its a very costly lesson to learn that Gehan doesn't stand behind its warranty program. There are some better home builders in Texas.
