GEICO-Macon Rip off Macon, Georgia

On Jan 31st my husband was involved in an accident. The man that caused it was arrested on the spot for DUI. He did not have a license or insurance. My husband called Geico immediately. The Geico rep. took info and told my husband to call back as soon as the police were done, which he did. The next day we recieved a call from Geico stating an adjuster would call on Monday (the accident happened over the weekend). Monday we got a call from Mr. Berry with Geico telling us our insurance was canceled! He explained that the reps we talked to after the accident did not have the authority to tell my husband we were canceled.(?)

They are claiming that our payment was due on the 18th and they did not received the payment until the 21st. We never received anything stating our insurance was canceled or even late. Mr. Berry informed us that had we called the day we sent the auto money gram (that they get instantly) we would have been covered. They accepted the payment and not until we filed this claim did they say, Oh, you were 3 days late were not going to cover you! I have filled a complaint with the Attorney Generals office and the Insurance Board in my state.
