My client lost $50,000 plus two and half years of her life to an investment in Gencom, Inc. Others have lost far more. She recently learned that the Share Certificate issued to her by the owner of Gencom (Michael J. Colonna) had a forged signature and is worthless as Gencom has no assets - nor does it have the supercomputer facility in the Irvine Spectrum Business Park as Michael J. Colonna had led them (and others) to believe. Additionally, he is not who he professes to be as he doesn't have any of the degrees, affilitations or credentials that he purports to have on his resume.

Until a few weeks ago - many people thought Michael Colonna was a fine upstanding - generous human being. Now many know better as they've learned that he fabricated a complex series of lies and deceptions for his purported friends, investors, church and family.

Michael gained most of his credibility for Gencom through his affiliations with the Microsoft Bio-IT alliance and the Itanium Solutions Alliance. Last year Gencom was the runner up in the Itanium Solutions Innovation contest - and this year he may have won if they hadn't disqualified Gencom for not being able to provide evidence that the supercomputer facility really existed.

Shortly after the Itanium Solutions Alliance demanded that Michael remove all mention of any prior recognition or awards by the Itanium Solutions Alliance from his website, he issued a press release announcing his retirement - and then a few days later another announcement regarding the sale of Gencom. Today the website is all but non-existent with a link to one summary document describing Gencom's software. www.gencom.us.com or www.gencomls.com

Michael was likely paid for an article had had published in the May edition of the American Biotechnology Journal - "Streamlining Drug Discovery - Use of High Performance Computing to Speed Drug Discovery and Approval" which describes Gencom's supercomputer facility in Irvine. It must be embarrasing for the editor of the magazine as she indicated that they don't verify the validity or credibility of the articles they publish - they only check to ensure the content of their articles is of interest to their magazine subscribers.

My client filed a report with the Santa Ana FBI regarding Gencom and Michael J. Colonna. We've also learned through a background investigation that Michael has several other possible aliases (Michael L. Colonna; Michael Joseph Torino, Mike Colonna) and has used up to four other social security numbers; and has several IRS tax liens and multiple unpaid judgements.

Michael has also performed IT consulting services for the State of California but was terminated last year for poor work.

Michael professed to be a righteous, church going man - who volunteered to help rebuild homes following the hurricanes. Of course, this added to his credibility which he used to reel in potential investors. What's sad is that he has no morals, has likely lied to everyone around him - including his family, leaving a string of unpaid debts, promissory notes, and judgements in his wake. Not to mention the years lost to wishful thinking on the parts of all the people he's scammed over the past three years.

Other companies he's created include Advanced Computer Sciences, Inc. (CA corporation) www.worldclassit.net ; Isotec International consulting (Nevada Corp with a permanently suspended license); Alchemy Holdings (CA suspended Corporation); and Gencom, Inc. (CA Suspended Corporation).

I'm posting this rip off report so that others won't be charmed into investments with Michael Colonna in the future. We'll be reporting this fraud to the Security Exchange Commission and to the District Attorney for prosecution. Please do the same if you've been ripped off - and let me know how to reach you so we can collectively stop this person from destroying others lives.

FDIC is of no use

AUTHOR: Interested Party - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 27, 2009

As Gencom, Inc. operated by Michael J. Colonna was a sham corporation offering shares in a private company, the FDIC would be of no use. The parties that were ripped off likely need to pursue action by the FBI, or District Attorney.
