Gencom Transportation Gencom - Avoid at all costs Denver Colorado

I used Gencom to pickup some cargo in Los Angeles for my customer in Colorado. The cargo was picked up in very good condition and made it to the Denver, CO terminal in good condition. Once it delivered to the final destination in Golden Colorado, the customer noticed some damage to the goods. I spoke to my sales rep Sherry and asked her to investiate this for me. She came back to me the same day and told me that a Gencom employee damaged the goods when loading on their delivery truck. A claim was filed and 114 days later we receive a letter from Gencom saying they will only pay up to $50 for the damaged goods. Keep in mind the damage to the product was upwards of $750.

I spoke to the president of Gencom transportation in Denver regarding the claim decision (Greg Donohue), he admitted that his employee damaged the goods but there was a certain loop hole on the bill of lading that limited their liability to $50 and they would pay nothing else. I pointed out that the damage did not happen in transit rather at his location by his forklift driver and not in transit he proceeded to insult me by saying since I only have 12 years experience in the industry I dont know what I am talking about.

I personally will never hire Gencom for any future shipments and highly recommend you do your homework when using this company.
