Ok, this is an update! I received a call from Dave Greenfield on Friday 6/23/17 asking what I would take to remove the feedback about GRC on social media, and I explained to him that if he paid me the $788.52 they owe me, I would retract the warnings to others I put out there. He said he would speak to his supervisor and call me on Monday 6/26/17. WELL, as expected, he called and offered me $350 in hopes I would retract the truthful feedback about his business. He told me to think about it and call him back. When I tried to call him back he was not available("At a meeting" seems to be the norm when trying to contact him concerning issues with gold or silver items). I left a message letting him know I would not accept that offer as it was unacceptable and unethical in business practice. I figured they needed the money more than I did since they felt the need to rip me off!

General Refining Corporation has been in business over 40 years and we have built our rock-solid reputation on the quality service and reliable results we provide. Any discrepancies in what this customer expected in return can only be that either items were improperly tested by the customer or the material was not what he believed it to be. GRC receives numerous shipments on a daily basis from jewelers and gold buyers from both the United States and Canada. We have a stringent process in place in which each shipment is weighed in, hand checked to the best of our ability, and then logged into our system. Material then proceeds to melt and undergoes a fire assay, which provides the most precise results in determining precious metals purity. Ultimately this material is introduced into the refining stream. With regard to the final numbers on the fire assay, three samples are utilized for calculation to ensure the utmost accuracy. These are the results that are reported to the customer for which they get paid and typical turnaround time is 24 to 48 hours. We made every effort to satisfy this client and to address his concern when he advised there may be a discrepancy, but some expectations cannot be met. It bears repeating, GRC has achieved a prominent position in the precious metals refining industry over the past 40 years by providing honest quality, professional, and precise service to its customers
