General RV Birch Run, Michigan BROKEN FRAME ON 2 MONTH OLD COACHMAN Birch Run Michigan

Like the previous complaint.  General RV doesnt care once you purchase a coach from them.

We purchased a new 2014 Coachman Freedom express from General rV in Birch Run, Michigan.  We took one trip we returned home and discovered by accident that the coach had a cracked frame on both sides of the trailer. 

We contacted General RV and Coachman and no one would take responsibility.  General RV 's job was to prep this unit.  It could have had a cracked frame when we received it.  They did not.

Coachman sent out a repairman from Lippert who manufactures the frame and they welded it.  We told General RV we would not accept a welded unit as we paid for new and wanted new back.

Well we are now sitting with a complaint at the BBB and we will see if they find in favor of us.

But like the previous review, they too said they would take the trailer back and tried to put us into another trailer for an additional $15,000.  We were under so much stress and sick that we almost took the deal until I called my state representative who said that we should  be able to get our monies back, plus all the extras we added.

We are on a fixed income and spending the first $22,000 was hard enough.  AS it stands now, we have a welded unit sitting in my driveway as we were forced to pick it up within 48 hours or General Rv would charge us daily storage.

I felt they took advantage of us.  It was not our fault that the Coachman trailer was defective but no one will take the blame.

Think twice about dealing with General RV as they do not stand behind their customers.  They only want to make a deal.
