Warranty Services INC or General Warranty Services INC has called my home over 120 times in one month for two months despite of being on the DNC list. Up to 5-7 times a day. When you look at the caller ID, it says Unknown Caller- So I made a phone call to my local phone company. They knew exactly who I was talking about and proceeded to give me this Company's phone number and Location because of the other complaints.

This Company calls your home with an Automated System regarding Automobile Warranties. Then it goes on to say, Please press 2 to speak to an agent now. Which I did. Someone WILL ask you for the year, make, and model of your car, truck, or van. They have no idea what you are driving but they will pretend to know. WATCH OUT!

If you ask them for their name or the name of their Company, they WILL hang up on you. If you ask them to stop calling, they WILL hang up on you. You can call the number provided above and find out for yourself. This is a scam to steal money for warranties and these warranties are essentially void and hold NO value, after paying out. So DO NOT give them any of your private information. I suspect that some people who are not bright enough were taken advantage of and have lost money.

Now, if you have been called, PLEASE, leave some information here. I will be updating this after some more action is taken. What you can do? Contact the FTC and your local Phone Company to report this company. If this sounds like you, leave a message. Thank you

*Note: If you are on the DO NOT CALL list and they call you, there is an 11,000.00 fine by the FTC so let them know and log the calls.

Gonna get ya

#5 UPDATE EX-employee responds

True Story

AUTHOR: Superman.. - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, January 09, 2010

I had previously worked for that company from March 17,2009-May 12,2009.At first i didn't know what it was, until i actually got started. It is true that some number's were logged in to the DNC list. Some employees that worked there never logged them in. I personally had gotten calls about my Warranty About to expire but i had ignored and then i never got a phone call again, I don't know if it that company i worked for or not. But i do know they did stop calling after a while. But this company here, the employees do slam the phones down when they hang up i had seen it all around me. They work out "print out" sheets which tells all employees what to say when someone answers the phone. Everything was read off on a sheet a paper, to the "client" Now what happens with the dialer is that it is an Automatic Dialer, the dials out the numbers. to the callers. On "the sales reps end" the Name and number Show up on our caller ID. So the Dialer dials out, once that # 2 is pressed, it automatically transfers and calls us. So basically your calling us without knowing our number and we have your name and number on the caller Id so when the person asks who there looking for, we just read off what on the caller Id. And it is true they do not have any Vehicle Information on what you own or have, or if they don't drive we don't have record of that. So Generally speaking it is a small office, where we don't know there information until given. Which i personally thought it shouldn't work that way. But if you need any questions answered. Please feel free to contact me..

Thanks..

LIES LIES LIES

AUTHOR: Nari - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, October 15, 2009

I like the claim that they are not allowed to hang up on people. They hang up everytime I ask the simplest of questions. For example. I ask what vehicle are you referring to. ClLICK! Any question I ask they hang up. I too have asked over 100 times to not have them call. They call 5 times a day sometimes. And yes if you get the warranty it is a scam. Just look at the complaints on here. My final note is why are the only people on here from the company say they have worked there for a month? Maybe bacuse they teat the employyes like crap and have a horrible turn-over rate. Really how much do you know about a company your first month there. That is genrally when you hear all the wonderful lies by the comany to make you think they are legit. TO THE GOVERNMENT - SHUT THEM DOWN PLEASE, and dont let them resurface in the next stae over like they always do...

Not truthful in any way, shape or form!

AUTHOR: Bikeguy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, April 27, 2009

I too receive these calls multiple times per day; on my WORK cell phone that has only been activated less than a month! If you decide to actually choose to speak to someone at this company they are very vague in the information they give you. As anyone knows that has received these calls, the recording heard when 1st answering the call says your vehicle warranty is about to expire. If you ask them which vehicle they show the warranty about to expire on, the sales rep gives a good dance around. If challenged to produce this information they WILL hang up on you. I asked one sales rep for a phone number and address for the company and was told they could not give out the address. He did give me a bogus phone number though!

In my last conversation with a rep named "Mike McAbe" (today), I challenged him on how a claim would be made if something were to go wrong with my vehicle under their warranty....what would the process be? He said I would present my warranty card to the dealership, Jiffy Lube, Wal-Mart or any other major chain auto repair facility and they would pay the facility directly. Now, I've worked for Wal-Mart Tire & Lube Express and know they DO NOT except anything but credit card, debit card, check or cold hard cash for their work or goods! I asked if I could "check it out" with the local dealership to see if they accept this company's warranty. He advised me right where my dealerships were (after providing him with a zip code) and assured me they accept the warranty (anyone can look up a car dealer on the internet with a zip code!). I got a phone number out of him (603-685-0200) and told him I'd be happy to consider a warranty if everything checks out.

Needless to say, I got the big SCAM report from the local dealership. This company is a huge scam. If you're dumb enough to buy anything off the internet or over the phone without taking the time to research it.....sorry!

You're wrong about GWS

AUTHOR: C.b.r.c - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, February 26, 2009

I currently work at GWS. I've worked here for about a month. We don't even use the auto dialer anymore. We actually just did a test run of the new dialer, but only for 2-3 hours and that seemed to go pretty well; with minimal complaints. We did have a few people who said they were on the DNC list but when we entered their numbers none of them were in it already, that might have been because of previous employees or because some people thought they put themselves in the DNC list and they didn't. We are not allowed to hang up on people so maybe the rules have changed since you got phone calls. GWS is not some type of "scam". Our warranties cover everything they say they cover. We are regulated by the FTC and we are NOT stealing people's money. Our verification calls are recorded for the customers safety and ours. When we call customers some people have files and some do not, some files are accurate and some are not. Computers aren't perfect and neither are people. But in the end, you're wrong about my employer. I know this and maybe you'll realize this too.

My expierence with this company

AUTHOR: Shadow Dragon - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, February 14, 2009

I have worked for this company for a month and a half. The only reason a person would be called repeatedly is if the employee did not enter the phone number into the DNC list, or entered in incorrectly. In the last month, we have been calling back people from our database files, and we are not given the ability to cross reference these files against a DNC list. If someone had requested to placed on that list, we enter a not on their file, and as far as myself, never call them again. Unfortunately, there are employees that don't read these notes.

I have never called someone more than once if they have asked not to be called, or if someone tells me that they have no interest in our product, hang up on me, or i any way express displeasure with the call, I note this on the file, and leave a not not to call that person again. I personally feel that this company is miss-represented, as are many companies in our nation.

GWS is NOT a scam, I have seen hundreds of our files, and we have happy, satisfied customers. There are also dissatisfied ones, and that can be true of ANY company. Wal-mart has as many if not more complaints, yet it is one of the largest chain of department stores in the nation. They put Ames out of business, for heavens sake.

I am sorry that there are those who have had bad experiences, but I personally believe in the company I work for, and if I find anything that validates the scam or ripoff report, I WILL report it and will gladly assist in any legal proceedings.
