An organization called GenM.co is a scam organization. Here’s what they’re about.
The GenM digital marketing curriculum is fun, free, flexible and can be experienced both online and in app. Our courses span highly sought after skills like social media, content, SEO, and email marketing. Once confident in their new skills, learners use our platform to chat and connect with a mentor from hundreds of diverse, hand-picked businesses ready to offer hands-on work experience through remote apprenticeships. The ultimate goal? A GenM Digital Marketing Certification. At the same time, we give growing businesses the opportunity to hire keen, talented students and professionals to help out with their marketing career. At GenM, we believe that continual skill building paired with quality work experience are the stepping stones to consistent career success.
They had a deal whereby I, as a business owner, could hire a student to market one of my products. I would pay them 49 dollars US a month for 3 months. (Why would they charge in US dollars when they are located in Ottawa, Canada?). I filled out the criteria on their site and 7 student names came out. I contacted them and only two got back to me to say no to helping me. Then I checked my credit card balance and GenM.co took 197.65 dollars from my account. I did NOT authorize this. I have sent them emails and they are not responding. They do not list a phone number on their site. Don’t get involved with GenM.co. They are scammers!

There was some miscommunication with The customer.
He sent us an email using a very angry and hateful tone. We could not make sense of the issue and we cannot process a refund if the customer is being offensive and we don't have an understanding of the reason why the customer is seeking a refund. Once the customer explained the situation in a more polite tone, we were able to understand why they wanted a refund and happily granted one.

After my call to them I had to go online and fill out a list of criteria that would point me to a number of students that could fit my needs. Seven names came back but only two responded saying they were too busy with other projects. GenM.co had already taken its 3 month fee ($197.00 CDN) up front. When I emailed GenM.co saying I had zero results from students GenM.co did the honorable thing and gave me a full refund.
