I found their ad on Craigs list and had my assistant call.
Mr. George Seal answered the phone and explained that they provide hot telephone transfers of homeowners that have been discharged from banktrupcy that day.
He told her that we would have to get an 800 number where the calls would go to and the number would forward all the calls the evening that the calls are made by an automatic dialer.
It sounded interesting to me so I called him up and he confirmed everything, in a serious of 3 phone calls he told me what times they would make the calls and how many calls on average I should expect.
He went as far as telling me that he uses the service for himself as a mortgage Broker and that his son in Florida is the one that mines the information and complies it.
He requested payment upfront of $ 200 a week (I only paid for 1 wk thankfully) and so I paid him..
After the first day of not receiving phone calls I called and received no response, after the third day I sent a threating e-mail and then George calls me back telling me that he never told me anything like that and that this sevice was stopeed by the FTC on September 1st.
he refused to return the money and just lied about everything....
Do not deal with George Seal or his son Brett because from my experience and opinion they lie about the services that they provide.

In it for the long run?

Any reputable company that makes a claim that they are in it for the long run, would have no problem standing by their products.
When one of my clients has a problem with my services, I issue a refund and that is why when you search online you can't get a negative report on my name or any one of my companies.
I would never risk getting a bad rep for $ 200.00.
And that is what is so clear; you are willing to risk your reputation for $ 200.00 that shows you are a flight by night irreputable company.
Its ok....I won't stop until I receive a full refund; if you can stand to keep on losing clients, then continue on not admitting your mistake.
I'm going to leave you with this; your dad claimed you guys used an automatic dialer and when asked him when I should expect the campaign to begin he told me in the evenings when the clients were home....does that sound like the leads were generated by you or me??

i dont just provide leads by email, i provide marketing material and a mailing service. the material is not outdated. and my pricing is far from exorbitant. I am in it for the long term relationship. I find it hard to believe that you can give an accurate description of the campaign considering, by your own admission, you did not even use the material.
Kall 8 is actually a really good toll free service, and it is very beneficial for a company to have a toll free number. I dont have fake people leaving postive comments about me anywhere, and never would.

They are the biggest liars!

When a company cannot own up to their mistake and they continue on perpetuating the same lie to protect themselves it shows a continued level of deception and a lack of understanding about what the "right thing" is.
These people sound all nice on the phone and the dad is trying to make the son make a couple of bucks while he goes to college etc.
They should come right out and tell you; we provide you leads by e-mail and thats it; we are a run of the mill data generating company that provides you with outdated materials and we charge exhorbitant prices becasue we are not looking for a long term relationship, we're just looking for the quick buck!
They will lie to your face and then tell you "its not true".
Well it is true, they didin't only speak to me, they spoke to my assistant; I am 23 years in the business, I wouldn't have known what I was signing up for????
They made me sign up for a stupid service called kall8 so that I would have an 800 number the clients could be transferred to.....for what???
If I was going to get e-mails with a stupid spread sheet, and I would have to initiate the call, then why do I need Kall8?
Both father and son have no remorse and take no responsibility in what they did, they are the scum of the earth; Im not surprised that they haven't had the gall to have fake people write positive comments about themselves yet.
Stay away from them.....far far away...

We have never offered "hot transfers" nor have we ever advertised that. We did offer incoming calls from recorded messages prior to the law changes, however this was prior to your campaign. George specifically said that you knew the calls needed to be made, and you were well aware of that. You went on to say that you were told George would make the calls for you, which he would not offer to do. You had received your leads prior to making a complaint to me directly, so unfortunately i could not issue you a full refund.
