*Consumer Comment: And...
This guy says his name was george Grover. Had a couple new home theater systems with a story saying they were left over and he could sell them.
made it sound like they are the greatest thing you can get etc...
he tried to get $400 from me but I said I couldnt do more than $200. He ended up getting $220.
after getting home and looking at it closer it isnt bluetooth and doesnt have wireless speakers like he said. Basically its a piece of junk as far as I am concerned. I hope people see this and don't get screwed like I did.

Why would you think that anyone coming up to you and trying to sell anything out of the back of a truck would be legitimate?
The only reason you got screwed is because you got greedy. Let me guess the guy gave you a story that they just happened to buy too many for a job they were doing and instead of telling his boss or dealing wtih a return he wanted to give you a good deal.
I would bet he even had a magazine showing that those speakers were worth $2500-$3000+
Want to know how I knew this...this is a very OLD scam I think the first time people tried(notice I said tried) to sell me speakers happened was a couple of decades ago.
The reason they are still around....because people are still greedy. The best way to avoid this is to remember if it sounds too good to be true...it probably is. The best way to keep people from falling for this is to tell all of your friends/relatives/co-workers and have them help spread the word.
You can look up "white van scams" and read all about it.
