georgia natural gas co atlanta gas light made payment 6:14 on 10/29/2014 was told gas srevice would not be interupted. On 10/30/2014 at 7:300 got home gas service was off,had been disconnected. And was told since on prepay. Had to pay the bill which was due on 11/22/2014. Called and made novemberr payment today 10/31/2014. was told could not have service reconnected until 11/04/2014. explaned have 3 children at home and have only gas heat and cook stove. and needed service back on today. and was told last night it could be reconnected today. thats 2 things that i was told by company reps. that were basically a lie. it is going to be in the low 30 degrees tonight and tommorrow . and the youngest child has a severe cold and is asmatic. Basically told sorry . even explained to supivisor. this is unexceptable and the lowest form of fraud and bad customer service i have ever heard of. suppose to have someone from corparate call but almost 4;30 and no call.  Kennesaw Georgia

Had Gas service disconnected  over 24 hrs after bill was paid. Was told by company rep. that would not be disconnected. When called back was told sorry since I was a prepaid customer would have to pay next months bill but could have turned back on even though was told would not be disconnected. So called back in was told sorry again and if i paid the november 22,2014 bill would have turned back on .after confirming payment 10/31/2014 was told again I am sorry the first availible turn on date is 11/04/2014. I told rep not eceptable going to be 33 degrees or colder tonight and tommorrow night, and with no heat or way to cook. needed it on that it was an emergency, I have 3 children and a disabled wife at home . aAnd the youngest one had been sick due to a very bad cold as well as beeing asmatic.After talking to supivisor was told I am sorry again. This is the worst customer service i have ever heard of and i am pretty sure they would have the same concern if they had small children. Who ever is in charge of this company should be terminated. This is unexcusable.

Terrible customer service

What a responce,but only what I expected. The two service reps . who i spoke to before, I spoke with a manager and finally at 5:46 a person who say they were corporate. Was told o first would not be disconnected at 6:19 pm on the 29th then when was disconnected on the 10/30/2014some time after 4:30 ,when i got home at 7:30 an d found cutoff notice in door,had confirmation number but guess just easier to disconnect than actually speak. I take responsibility for being late no problem. But to be lied to and pasing the buck and told all my fualt is rediculous. Who ever wrote the rebuttal must not have small children. Or would not have responded in such a manner. I totally understand corporate policy. The consumers are just a number and cover your butt at all cost. I will make sure to never ask for any type of assistance from yor company agin. And hope you enjoy your nice warm home this weekend while the tempatures are under 30 degrees. I am sure your proud of yourself and your rebuttle.

 Lack of payment equals YOUR utilities being shut off. End of story. I suggest that if its going to get that cold then go to WalMart and get a couple of forced air heaters until YOUR gas gets turned on. YOU did not pay your bill so YOUR utilities get shut off. Now YOU have to wait until YOUR turn comes up for getting the gas turned back on. Had YOU paid your bill in the timely manner expected of a consumer, then YOU wouldn't be worrying about the health and safety of your children. Had you cared as much as you make out in your post, then YOU would have paid YOUR bill on time so THIS would not happen to YOU. YOU cannot fail in YOUR PART of this dance and blame it on the utility company. YOU cant use your children sickness as a REASON to immediately turn the gas back on, if it was SO MUCH of a concern then the bill would have been paid. YOU made the choice to hold off on paying that bill for whatever reason, YOU are the one who NOW has to wait their turn. Remind us ALL again HOW YOUR FAILURE means that the utility company is the bad guy. From where I sit, it looks like YOU dropped the ball and expect OTHERS to cover for YOUR mistakes. LIFE doesn't work that way!!! REALITY is what it is. YOU are a victim of the choices YOU made. YOU are an adult and NEED to accept that YOU screwed up. Anything else only shows that YOU are the problem and YOU will continue to have these types of problems as long as you continue to do as you have. Look at the message YOU are showing your kids!!! YOU are showing that its OK to WAIT on paying a bill. Then when YOUR gas gets shut off, its THIER fault YOU didn't pay the bill!! So YOU are showing those children that's its OK to be SLOTHFUL, DECIETFUL, AND IRESPONSIBLE!!! THEN when YOU don't get your way due to the FACT that a trained employee MUST be the one to turn the gas back on and it REQUIRES them to be there for it, that its OK to parade YOUR FAILURE all over the web. Come on!!! REALLY!?!?!?!?! YOU are an adult and YOU need to accept your part in all of this and move on. Then go to walmart and get those forced air space heaters. they are around $20 and will be useful to YOU in the future as YOU will continue to run into these types of issues until YOU change what YOU are doing. Sorry to be harsh with you but SOMEONE has to be the voice of responsibility if YOU chose to NOT be that voice.
