The people have a site called getoutofdebt.org that I came across when i did a simple google search for student loan debt help. The site comes across as a place to help people like me that need financial help.
Someone named Chris Livingston says hes an attorney and people should speak with him before hiring another company claiming the other companies are scams. Becaue hes an attorney i think most people believe him and i almost did to. And many people dont know that he lives in NC and you have to live in his state for him to legally help you!
Well as it turns out a simple and quick google search of getoutofdebt.org and Christopher Livingston will reveal that not only has Chris faced scruitiny by the bar in north carolina but Steve Rhodes who owns the site helps him get business by endorcing him.
This is a total sham and i want people on the internet looking for help to know that just because people come across as legitimat they may not be!

The person posting this complaint certainly seems to have been very confused. The website GetOutOfDebt.org provides free help and assistance for consumers that have questions about how to deal with debt issues. We do not sell and services or products.
We did recently publish a guide "The Ultimate Guide to Dealing With Student Loans You Cant Afford" but that guide does not have any links to and providers or give any endorsement to any individual. The guide can be found at http://getoutofdebt.org/51013/the-ultimate-guide-to-dealing-with-student-loans-you-cant-afford
Neither the site nor myself assist Chris Livingston to "get business" and Mr. Livingston's public participation with the site has been as a commenter, like everyone else.
It is unfortunate that while the consumer made accusations they did not provide a link to the claims made. A search of the site found this comment made by Livingston but it certainly does not appear to represent the allegations claims by the poster:
The comment made by Livingston read, "Hello there. I'm Chris Livingston, a consumer lawyer, and I'd like to hear more about this. I don't know if I can help you or not, but it looks like student loan assistance fraud is the next big thing and I'd like to learn all I can about it. Please call 910 876 7001 and I'll be glad to talk to you."
That certainly seems innocent enough.
