I received a letter with a check in it made out to myself for $4890.30. We're going through the worse times that we've been going thru in 13 years we've been together so I really wanted this to be THE ANSWER...I did some research and didnt come up with anything got the check to clear.

The letter said it would clear in 1 day. Much to my surprise it did. So I then went on my 2 assignments. #1. MONEYGRAM 45xx.xx to a reletive of mine in onterio. Fill in the questionarre and move right on. Heres a fun part $100 shopping spree in Walmart, I get to keep all the merchandise and I earn another $100 for evaluating the store. Total $300.

I was so greatful. I bought food for our house because our cubbords were bare. So the next day I looked in my account to pick and choice a bill to pay with the $200 we earned and I'm minus $3400. I have nothing and I owe!!!!!!!!!!!!11

The check got returned counterfeit and no one from getpaid2 has had the cutesty to call me back. Not for nothing but my Father is dying from lung cancer and we are going to say our Goodbyes next week....I truely need that money back. This could not have happened at a worse time.

Scammers...

AUTHOR: Edgeman - (U.S.A.)

Susan, I am very sorry to see that you have been scammed. This is a fairly common scam and the people that do this have more names than we will ever know. It's sort of a personal mission of mine to expose scammers like this.

Report this to your authorities, but I'm afraid that money sent through Western Union or Moneygram is virtually unrecoverable.

Best of luck to you.

When would be a ........

AUTHOR: Resty - (U.S.A.)

.....good time to get scammed out of thousands of dollars? And that's all this was.....a scam. Hundreds of people have let GREED over rule their common sense and have fallen victim to these scams. Some of those who scam people have been interviewed on condition of anonymity and have clearly stated that Americans are the easiest group of people to scam. They claim that Americans are one of the only "groups" that totally expect to "get something for nothing"....that Americans dont use common sense and are too lazy to bother to check things out first.

Your bare cupboards and your dads lung cancer dont matter to the scammers. It doesnt render YOU any less guilty of falling for a blatant scam. It also wont get you your money returned.

Think it thru BEFORE you deposit a check from someone you dont know.

#1) WHY is this person sending me this money
#2) Do I KNOW this person
#3) Did I earn this money
#4) Did I play a lottery or apply for a job
#5) Why would some stranger send me this much money and yet ask for a return of most of it

bottom line.......You CANNOT answer those questions honestly. Yet you saw nothing wrong with depositing the check and then spending it. PAY THE BANK!!!!!
