On Dec. 6, 2005 my wife ordered a coffee pot for $19.95 from Gevalia. Dec. 7, 2005 it was showing 2 pending charges on our bank account from there company. The 2nd was $9.95. So I called that night to see what the 2nd charge was for. They said it was a membership fee for Gevalia Coffee that would charged and sent out every month. My wife did'nt want this so we told them to cancel and they said they would and they did refund the $9.95. Gave us a comfirmation number. I never thought anything else about it till Jan. 20, 2006 another charge shows up. $33.95. Now I'm really confused because this is scary they can go into your bank account anytime they want.

For 1 we cancelled. So this was illegal trans action. They did'nt have permission. 2. How do they explain a $33.95 charge a over a month later after cancellation. Or how do they justify $33.95 at all since the monthly membership fee was supposed to be $9.95. I called. They said they would refund the money in 2 business days. I'll believe it when I see it. For I called like 20 some plus different operators. They said they canceled and funds would be returned. But tonight I called one last time. The operator told me the account was still active so they had done nothing and intend to keep withdrawling from our bank account till they figure out were the mistake is. I also did a sign up myself and went through all the process to see if it explained all charges clearly. Took screen caps. Nothing.

You find out when they draw the money from your bank. Otherwise you believe your just ordering a coffee pot. I'll re tract this if they make good on thier word after I supposedly talked to a supervisor. Will have to wait and see.

Recieved Refund

AUTHOR: Ken - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 28, 2006

I told Gevalia company I would remove this ad if they made good on the return of our money. I had to explain that if they shipped the coffee pot according to thier site which said they shipped by Ups then they had a tracking number in which they could track the coffee pot down. We never recievied it. They said they sent it. But they returned the $19.95 and the $83.95 which they could not explain. At the time of return I was talking on other line with BBB. Not sure if that helped. They did mail out 4 small packages of coffee which had a bill in it for $37.95 which they said we could keep or pass out to friends. But I think mostly what did it was when I sent them the email addy to rip-off.com and said look up the complaints on your company. Alot of mistakes and alot of people not getting thier product and thier ad was misleading. It explained nothing about the membership or extra charges or how high it would be. So if Rip-Off Reports.com wants to remove this ad they can feel free to do so. I really apreciate such a site being online for consumers. It really helped.
