Saw internet ad for GForce Ships, according to their advertising it would increase engine horsepower by 60 HP and mileage by 4-7 MPG. The GForce ad claims they will refund 100% of the purchase price if the buyer is not completly satisfied, so I ordered one.
I received the chip within 3 days, installed it same day. My mileage actually went down by 1 mile/gal and my check engine light came on and stayed on. I removed the chip and milage went back to what it had been and the check engine light went off.
I reviewed company's return policy, advised them I was not completely satisfied, got an authorization from them and sent the chip back. Sadly for me I didn't find Ripoff Report until after I had purchased the chip. GForce does NOT honor their representation of a 100% refund. Their guarantee of a 100% refund is complete SCAM.
I received a refund, LESS a 25% RESTOCKING FEE. BE AWARE, they are very CAGEY in the wording of their refund policy. Their chip did not work for me the way Gforce claims. I won't buy anything from GForce Chips again.
In addition, they recommended a performance air filter which I ordered through them at a cost of $59.00. The filter is made in the USA by K & N Performance Filters and shipped by K & N. After installing the filter I believe that my car engine performance has improved, especially on pickup. If you buy direct from K & N the cost is only $40. You can find them on the web.
If you think you want or need a performance chip, shop around, there are several good ones on the market and be sure to do your due diligence before buying one.
I am filing a complaint with my State Attorney General's consumer complaint division and with the BBB in Irvine, CA. and with the BBB in my state.

I e-mailed back and forth with GForce chips customer service (so-called), in an attempt to have the restocking charge of 25% refunded. They are standing firm on the charge and will not refund it. In buying their unsatisfactory (for me) product, it has cost me out of pocket $31.75.
I need correct the cost for the air filter for my car if bought directly from K & N; it's $55.99, not $40.00. However cost varies depending on the filter you need.
The K & N filter immediately improved engine pickup and my mileage has increased one mile per gallon. The filter will pay for itself in fuel savings alone. Of course this will depend on how much fuel you buy and how much you drive yor vehicle.
I stand by my suggestion that if you want a good performance air filter, buy direct from K & N. Their customer service is excellent.
K & N filters are an excellent investment.
