I am in the process of refinancing my home & the Equity company needed my credit score. This company contacted me & for $1.00 would give me the credit score from 3 companies & if I did not want this service any longer I was to cancel within 1 week or I would be charged a monthly fee of $39.90. As in the case of another woman, I forgot to do this; hence, the charge. I phoned the company & they refused to remove the charge. I do have a cancellation # so I will wait & see what occurs next month. I feel this is quite unethical &, quite possibly, a scam.
