I contracted for him to remove trees from my yard after a windstorm. He cut a few branches down and said he'd be back the next day. I gave him the check as I had doctor's and other appointments the next day and wouldn't be home when he returned to do the work. He took a $1226.50 check from me and never completed the services. He never returned to complete the work. He will not take my phone calls. He will not/has not returned my phone messages.
Since the amount of the check was over $500, he has committed a felony.
