I have had an ongoing issue with a warranty repair at Auburn Chevrolet. A thorough inspection of the problem had not been done by the dealership and instead the dealership attempted to swindle me out of money, rather than honor a warranty repair. I contacted GIRALDO at GM 'Customer Service' at 1-866-790-5600 ext 11066 and he promised me that GM would have a representative thoroughly inspect and diagnose the problem at no charge to me. The following day, however, I was told that GM would not inspect and diagnose the problem and that if I wanted a diagnosis it would cost almost $400! My car is a 2009 with under 26 thousand miles. I asked Giraldo why he had promised that my vehicle would be looked at by GM at no cost to me and he attempted to pass the blame onto someone else. I previously posted a ripoffreport on Auburn Chevrolet, but this report is directed at GM. It seems as though GM, who are the manufacturs of Chevrolet will do whatever they can to save themselves a few dollars-at the expense of their customers. That has been my personal experience. Purchasing a GM made vehicle has been the worst purchase I have ever made. Not only do the dealerships lie to you, but so does GM itself. It's no wonder why a huge chunk of the automobile market belongs to forein auto makers. I will never buy another GM made product again.
Note to commenters: the bottom line of this report is that I was given a promise from Giraldo at GM that something would be done. The very next day, instead ofhoneringthat promise, that promisewas broken. This is a firm example of a company giving a customer the run around. If a person buys a brand new car and pays thousands of dollars, they should get better cusomer service than that.

Update: Giraldo at GM Contacted me after discovering my ripoffreport, only to reiterate/repeat that he was indeed breaking his original promise

If I didn't pay thousands of dollars for a peice of junk GM Chevrolet, this would almost be comedy, and I would almost laugh. So, after discovering I have written a ripoffreport.com article on here regarding his making me a promise for service to be done at a particular dealership and then breaking his promise the very next day, Giraldo ext 11066 of GM recently left several messages for me to call him back so that he could give me the 'final outcome' of my 'case number' with GM. So I returned his phone calls-several times-but only got his voice mail each time. Then he left me another voice mail early in the morning-again-and I returned his calls only to get his voice mail-as usual. So I gave up trying to reach his extention, hoping to at least speak with a supervisor at his office. It has taken well over 30+calls to finally reach a supervisor (Giraldo never answers his phone;does this guy even work?) Before finally reaching a supervisor, I kept reaching different offices in the Phillipines, Canada, Argentina....I thought GM prided itself on being an 'American' company. Talk about dissapointment. The jokes on anyone who purchases a GM vehicle, and anyone who buys a GM vehicle hoping to support the American auto industry. GM should be ashamed of themselves. Upon finally reaching Giraldo's supervisor, I asked her what the outcome of my 'case number' was that Giraldo wanted to share with me. She informed me that the 'outcome' was that GM was not going to fulfill the promise that Giraldo had made to me-the one he made to me before I wrote the above report-and attempted to give me the same excuse that Giraldo had Already given me the first time. In a nutshell, I was and am already aware that Giraldo and GM are not going to fulfil their previously made promise. My question is, why call me back-again-to inform me that GM and its employees don't stand by their own words or promises. I already know that. And thanks to ripoffreport.com, so does everyone else. I've said it a hundred times, and I'll say it again, I regret ever buying a GM vehicle and will never puchase another one. GM/Chevrolet has lost a customer for life.
