Back in 2012 we purchased a 2012 Hyundai Elantra from Giuffre Hyundai. The car was for my son who is in the Navy. we aggreed on a price of $20,500, APR 5.5% with a payment around $330.00 and aggreed to have autopayments directly out of his account. Three weeks after purchasing the car, my son was deployed to the Middle East for a year. all that time T.D bank was removing $530.00 a month out of his account which the kid had no idea they were doing ..it was supposed to be 330.00 a month. come to find out the fast talking salesman and his crooked finance manager ripped the kid off by financing $29,800!! which we never aggreed to. so a 20,500 dollar car will cost him 35,000 after interest. I immediately contacted T.D bank explained the situation to them. They couldnt care less and just kept shooting back at us" you signed the contract we cant help you. I asked them how did you approve a loan of $29,500 for a car valued @ 20,500? why wasnt this denied? their response was "we finance auto loans up to 125% of the cars value and once more repeated you signed the contract. Stay away from any franchise John Giuffre operates, he is a thief and practices deceptive finance. Also, please never let any auto dealership push papers in front of you without thoroughly reading the terms, dont belive what their telling you while the're pushing you to sign on the dotted line. it can cost you very much.

Took me a while to decide if your rebuttle was worth a response but because its a rainy, dreary type of day in NYC and the fact I'm bored, I'll give a response. I am not looking for a sympthetic ear to "cry to" as you say nor do I seek your approval regarding my complaint. I couldnt care less what you think. My sole objective is to reach out to as many folks as possible alerting them how crooked Giuffre Auto mall is and to stay away from his dealerships which include Dodge and Kia, (His Hyundai franchise was shut down by Hyundai Inc for these exact practices.) what amazes me is the arrogance here, The Attorney Generals office has informed me they sued him back in October 2012 and yet he still continued these practices. go figure. BTW.. I'm not used to seeing statements from an adult...(I think) with the words "boo h*o" inserted, i did get a chuckle out of it and thank you for the laugh. Enjoy the rest of your day.

The documentation does not support your claim

You wrote, “finance manager ripped the kid off by financing $29,800!! which we never aggreed to”

Then you wrote, “never let any auto dealership push papers in front of you without thoroughly reading the terms”

So, apparently you DID agree to the terms. Then you cried to the bank. Well boo h*o. Teach your son (or was it you?) to read contracts before signing.

You can complain to all the agencies you mentioned but the documentation does not support your claim.

well. Jim, im just warning folks about the deceptive practices of the Giuffre auto mall. We unfortunately took this finance manager at his word on what he was telling us while he was writing something much different on the contract, as far as not knowing what was being removed from my sons account, I had no access nor feel the need to check the finances of a twenty year old and if you read the original complaint it clearly States my son was deployed to the middle East for a year before the first bill hit. We have purchased many cars before and NEVER dealt with such dishonesty before. I have filed a claim with the NYAttorney Generals office and found they sued Giuffre for similiar deceptive practices, also the BBB, NYC Dept of consumer affairs, Hyundai Inc (in South Korea) and today will contact our local representive who aside from Staten Island also represents Bay Ridge in Brooklyn. I will also file with yelp today. I'm not done, I want to reach as many people as possible to STAY AWAY from Giuffre automall.

READ what you are signing BEFORE you sign it!  Amen!  How is it he or you didn't bother to check what was being deducted from the checking account all this time?
