Global Bullion Exchange is a scam. An elderly neighbor was contacted by mail and wired thousands of dollars. Then the company demanded more. Luckily she talked with others at this point, but has probably lost all of the original "investment." I'm sure it all went into their pockets.

In this economic climate GBE will likely keep scamming more elderly people, who are pulling money out of the stock market. They claim they buy silver and gold on your behalf (doubtful), and their commissions and fees are astronomically high. They may very well be a Ponzi scheme. The Florida Attorney General's office will do nothing. Are there no business licenses in Florida?? They allow these crooks to prey upon people!

Do not invest with them. You will certainly lose your money.

My company in Hong Kong invested with this company with great success. We rollover investments on gold and make lots of money to support our ventures. Very good company. Never heard of elderly targeting; my company found them through the internet.

Face to Face

AUTHOR: Pozjetsfan - (U.S.A.)

Joan R.

I am so sorry that this has happened to you.  I am a financial consultant for a debt settlement company and I have learned one thing in all my years of monetary business.  When it comes to trading commodities, precious metals or anything of that nature, it should be done face to face.  That of course does not gurantee that the same thing would not happen again, but it will allow you the opportunity to at least research the company, get credentials and testimonials and check them out with the State in which they operate.  It is so easy to run a scam these days and it is imperative that as consumers, we have full realization of who we are doing business with.  Especially when it comes to our life savings and other monies that we just simply cannot afford to lose.  I have assumed long ago that good business is where you find it.  These predators and organizartions like them will keep inside the law because the law does not always protect us from folks runnng Ponzi schemes.  It is by our own valition that we choose whom to do business with.  Be prepared with questions accumulated through research.  Do not, repeat, DO NOT send anything through the mail!  Mainly money!  Best wishes.

Lets set one thing straight here.
Just because a company contacts elderly people who happen to have money in stocks,
that does not make them a deceitful company.
Aren't they simply targeting their buyer market?
I would say yes.
People have the right to decline their services!
If this person the report claims was contacted by mail, they obviously weren't high-pressured.
Im guessing that this report is from a competitor and should be completely disregarded.
I have had success with them and currently have a significant amount of money invested through them in gold.
NOT A RIPOFF!!!!

BIGGEST SCAMERS ON THIS PLANET!!!

AUTHOR: jordan - (Canada)

POSTED: Sunday, October 25, 2009

These guys won't just take your money, they will block your phone number from reaching their main office and never talk to you again. 2 months ago, I sent in 3lbs of gold (that they quoted at $16/oz, totaling $768). 2 weeks later, I got a check for $432.. when I called and asked what happen, "Brent Farrel" had told me that I only sent in 2lbs (32oz).. Even if that were true, they would owe me $512 NOT $432.. when I tried to call back, the number was busy (and has been every day since then). They won't respond to my emails, fix their mistake, or even give me a refund, BUYERS BEWARE OF THIS SCAM COMPANY!!!

Beware of unwanted solicitations.

AUTHOR: Design Madness - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 02, 2008

I was contacted by Global Bullion Exchange regarding investing in Silver. The first guy I talked to was pretty cool and level headed but was only a "Junior Broker". He transferred me to a "Senior Broker" who made the most obnoxious used car salesman seem like Mother Teresa! He tried to be all "pally-pally" with me and, unfortunately, I had to be rude and hang up on him just to get him to shut up. My point is this: Never give up your control by allowing a solicitor to push you anyplace you don't want to go. If you're remotely interested in what they offer, YOU ask for their contact information. YOU ask them to provide the materials you need for due diligence. YOU ask THEM when it would be a good time to call THEM back. Remember: The one who asks the questions controls the situation! Who knows, I may have invested with GBX if they guy wasn't such a high-pressure, pushy sales person. That style doesn't work at all for me and I do know how to back them off - even if it is hanging up on them!

the market doesn't always move in an investors favor!

AUTHOR: Ardilla - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, November 01, 2008

I am a client with gbx. the portrayal of them as a "fraud" is in my personal experience completely inaccurate. my broker is sharp as a tack and when the market began to slide he got me on the phone and recommended a sell so i wouldnt lose money. some time after we jumped back in the market and i saw a good enough return to take physical possession of my metal (gold, silver and platinum) so i know they do in fact purchase the metal that you apparently think they do not. when the market goes up you make money, when it goes down you lose money just like any investment. sorry your neighbor wasnt smart enough to make a good move at the right time but thats typical of most investors who only jump into a market when they see everyone else doing it long after the window of opportunity to profit has closed. perhaps thats why you wrote a rip off report without any personal experience with the company. im not old, im not vulnerable, and i made a move and came out with a significant return and now i have a nice stack of metal sitting in a home safe. maybe when you have personal knowledge and not some emotional hearsay from an admitted unreliable source(your "vulnerable" neighbor") then you could write an honest report, until then stop it with the he said she said stuff and quit misleading people. my money says you work for monex!

Investments are tough

AUTHOR: Mauve - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 22, 2008

I use this company on the advice of my financial adviser. Precious metal have been up & down lately, but the advice I have gotten has been very helpful. Granted the initial cost was a little high, but since (they way it was explained to me) the commission thingy was a one time deal as long I keep my account, it was worth the higher investment cost.

Global Bullion Exchange, LLC

AUTHOR: Global Bullion Exchange, Llc - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 22, 2008

It is unfortunate that this client feels the way they do. Every effort is made by Global Bullion Exchange, LLC to insure each client's account is properly handled and any client issues are resolved immediately. Unfortunately though as with every investment, there is always the potential the client could make or lose money as nothing is ever guaranteed.

Many clients pull money from their stock portfolio to diversify their investments with precious metals. Global Bullion Exchange does not discriminate who our clients are and further does not prey upon elderly people. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to place a portion of their portfolio in precious metals as expert analysts highly recommend this.

Regarding the statement that Global Bullion Exchange does not actually have possession of the metals; The Company currently owns several mines. At any time a client can choose to take physical delivery of their metals if they so choose. All metals are stamped and assayed for purity to insure they meet the proper standards.

To the poster, Joan R. We regret that you are upset and that you feel you were preyed upon. Please contact our office so that we may discuss our procedures with you and see what can be done to rectify the situation. We look forward to speaking with you.

Adam King
