Global Ecommerce Services Kannan I got a quote for some customisation work on a Magento site. By the time I stopped them, they had extorted 4x the quote and I got nothing in return

I got a Magento extension from Global Ecommerce Services for a very reasonable rate. I then asked for a quote for some further customisations.

Their quote was US$500. However, they kept making up stories about why I had to pay more for their time and that the developer was spending a huge amount of time on the project. They gave me the impression that each time I agreed to pay more, this would be the last time and I would have a working website after this.

After I had paid just under US$2000 (quote was for US$500), I realised I was never going to get a working site and they would continue to send me more and more invoices. 

I was basically held over a barrell and was harrassed constantly to make payment.

This company does not care at all about producing quality (or any sort of work). They are only interested in taking your money and extorting more and more from you with endless promises but no results.

Don't ever order a service from them unless you want to be totally ripped off and end up with absolutely nothing to show for the thousands of dollars spent.

I'vebeen in business over 10 years and this is my first ever review like this. I am disgusted at their behavior. 

I dealt with kannan Rengan and I intend to give reviews to let as many people as possible know about this company.

I had to completely rebuild the site. The one they did was a complete joke and never worked at all.

Hire at your own peril.

I only paid the last invoice to get them off my back and because I don't believe in having bad blood with people. However, I told them that I would be reviewing them widely. They preferred to get the money than worry about their reputation. Says a lot!

Global Ecommerce Services are dishonest operators and their developers don't do reasonable work.
