It's just come to my attention that NHCD or National Health Care Discount has changed their name to Global Home Sourcing. This company has a long history of ripping off its employees and a name change won't make a difference so I figured it was important to get the word out.
Their parent company is now listed as ASI and they state it was started in 1989 with Nature's Beauty Bar being added in 2004. If you look inside the opportunities listed for the US, you'll see the same jobs with new names: Personnel(listed 1st, shows what their goal really is), survey department (leads), Sales Rep, and Nature's Beauty Bar. The scary thing is, they have a number of different countries also listed so they won't be looking just to scam Americans now.
For more information about this company, I direct you to search NHCD on this site. Name change or not, it isn't a company I'd recommend to anyone.

Tammy, unfortunately, your manager has probably quit the company by now. That's most likely why she never called you. Are you calling the main company phone number? I would start there and hound them everyday until you get answers.
If that gets you nowhere, talk with your bank. It may take the price of a stop payment on your account, but that's still better than NHCD getting your money. And it should stop your problem.

This is ridiculous!
I was considering taking advantage of this "Work From Home" opportunity, but they have seriously ripped me off!!!
I was NEVER contacted by the person who was to be my direct supervisor, but they have continued to take money out of my account every month and I was never really employed by them!
I have faxed letters and made numerous phone calls and NO ONE has ever had the courtsey to call me back.
I'm ready to contact a lawyer!!
If anyone has any info on how I can get to talk to a real live person, rather than leave a message that never gets returned, please post it!

PDM, you still haven't posted any facts on here. And I don't have to resort to personal attacks to deal with you. You would think the so called "MBA's" at NHCD would know how to balance a checkbook. Are they or are they not writing checks on closed checking accounts? I've heard excuses from "we're changing banks," to to "the check bounced because of chargeback corrections." C'mon. And I've looked at the new website. The NHCD "portion" of the business is falling under Global Home Sourcing. And NHCD is actively recruiting suckers on that site. It's the same garbage, same company. And no matter how much you want to cover your tails or threaten the people on this board, we won't be stopping anytime soon. The fact that you are trying to threaten shows your weaknesses and the fact that you're running for your dwindling paycheck. As for my education, I'll take you on anyday.

Setting a few things straight...
AUTHOR: PDM - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Thursday, November 10, 2005
It's time to set a few things straight. As this is an unmoderated whine board where no one has the conscience or integrity to actually verify the validity and truth of comments posted here, I've decided to very briefly lower myself to your gutter level to provide a few facts
I realize facts and honesty are extremely uncommon in these posts, but let's try it and see if you and this website can handle it without a complete and total meltdown.
1.To be taken seriously, it is enormously helpful to be able to provide a complete, coherent, literate sentence.
2. When beginning work with NHCD, everyone is provided with contact information for a chain of command that will solve any question or problem you encounter. To resolve any issue you may have it is more productive to follow the appropriate steps. Your first point of contact should be your manager. If that doesn't fix your problem, don't hesitate to contact your manager's manager. If you still feel there has been no appropriate resolution then contact your Department Manager. That info is provided to you in every department you are in, so you should have contact info for at least 3 people to solve your problem up to 9 people or more. I don't believe for a minute that anyone here has made a serious attempt to solve their issues in an appropriate or productive manner. Do you really believe posting here for other hangers-on to read is going to resolve any real or imagined problems you may have encountered?
3. NHCD has not now, nor do they intend to in the future, changed their name to Global Home Sourcing. Smart companies have many and varied interests that change and grow with the trends and demands of the public. When a company creates or acquires another company to meet growing trends, generally the new company's name reflects that particular aspect of the business. It does NOT mean the parent-company is going to change their name to the same as 1 small division. Get real, people! That makes such poor business-sense I shouldn't even have to mention it. Unfortunately, I have to spell it out clearly for the MBA wannabe's on here.
NHCD was here long before you came around and it will be here long after you are gone and that is a FACT. I truly pity all of you that lurk on the board waiting to throw in your two cents of unthoughtout gibberish while spending your days imagining conspiracy theories where nothing exists, besides your enormous leaps to unfounded and desperate conclusions. Your time would be better spent looking for a job better suited to your experience and personality, or lack thereof, whichever the case may be.
As for the comment about the Personnel Dept Manager "not being the sharpest knife in the drawer"... How "brilliant" do you really think you look when you are posting half-truths, rumors and blatant lies on here? Be VERY careful flinging mud. It only digs you a hole while elevating the other person.(Love this line!!!!)
PS. I do know that those with little minds completely obsessed with NHCD that stalk this site will start slamming me, posting negative comments and personal attacks. I expect this from you. I know how very small your world has become. But as the truth is its own defense and my statements here stand strong on their own, I will not lower myself again to your level to defend myself or my opinions to your small-minded and petty attacks.

I honestly didnt think it would take them this long to have to change the cover of thier scam but they finally did it. I was cracking up at the fact they cant pay their "employees", just what we predicted would happen if enough people found out what a scam they were. So to all the "old" managers and employees that have continued to post the truth about NHCD (now Global Home Sourcing), cheers, we did it. And we will keep them from getting back up the ladder and screwing more people. Its nice to know that for all the years that they screwed us over, we were finally able to return the favor. Hows that for a good feeling?
