I got a letter in the mail marked urget. So of course I opened it and inside there was a letter from the Global Monetary Fund, stating that they were going to award me the cash amount of $2,536,092.23 and in the letter was also an account#. They asked for a $25 fee to be sent and after they recieved the fee they would process my account and send me my claim. Which would be brought to me by a bonded federal carrier. Not sure if it was a legit and true claim form. If someone could only figure this out for me cause I am digging but coming up empty handed

It is a scam

The dead give away that it is a scam is the fact that they are asking for an upfront fee of $25 from you before issuing the 'award money'.

Go to FTC(dot)gov and read up on consumer scams.
