Global Ocean Freight is hostaging my goods for 4 months after ruining the majority of them Lauderhill Florida

Global Ocean Freight (referred herein as GOF) undertook the shipment of my goods from Greenwich, CT on Dec14th 2003 to Sydney, Australia according to the contract formed by its broker, Moving Services US (MS). MS provided an estimate, and once 30% was paid on Dec 8th 2003, GOF sent subcontracted movers to collect the goods.

PrecisionMoving employees arrived at my home, unprofessionally packed my belongings in a moving truck and then rushed me through paperwork. I did not give my authorization to pack&load anything after the estimated limit is reached. They assured me that I was well within the quote, forced me to sign incomplete bills and other documents. Harassed and bugged for cash tips. Did not give me the total price of the move.

Did not give an additional insurance. Once my goods were loaded, the GOF and PrecisionMoving inflated the balance from 1645$ to 4111$ claiming my goods took up more cubic feet than estimated and by changing the previously agreed price for packing materials from 2$ to 7$ for a unit.

When contacted by requesting the delivery of goods, the GOF (Eti Cohen) demanded full payment of the inflated price before delivery of the goods, threatening to hostage the goods and refusing to return calls, faxes and mails. She is claiming that "GOF never receive nor agree to an OFS who indicate $2.00 per CBF" (which is in my contract) and ignoring my payment as "MS and GOF are no longer associated". I saw the container today at Australian Vanlines Warehouse (who received an order from GOF to hostage the goods until I'd pay the whole inflated sum). All packed by carrier is ruined. Movers on Australian site marked the container as PACKED: BAD, LOADED: BAD. All wrapping is torn, boxes are crashed.

Recommendation: Do not use this company ever
