I received a check from Global securities and trust
they told me I won the DE_LOTTO AMERICAN SHOPPERS LOTTERY held on Feb 10th 2008. The Check looks legitimate drawn on Chase Manhattan bank in Syracuse NY. The check was for 4875.00 It does ask us to call before I deposit the check as far as I can tell they would then tell me to send the western union funds for 3,000.00. I hope that this company can be investigated as from what I can tell they are a scam.
The Letter that was attached was sent by John Davis (Promotion manager). They say that the 3,000 tax amount would be paid directly to the tax agent, which makes it sound more credible from my perspective. I cannot imagine what someone more trusting would have done with this.
