I got a call from Jerry Ryan who claims he had a buyer for my time share. We identified a price. He called back claiming he got approval from a buyer and all financing had been approved for that buyer.

He described a process of receiving a verification call back from a different dept. in his organization to verify legitimacy. Said at that time I would receive a fax with all instructions etc...

He wanted me to pay his commission of $1900 up front prior to prcess commencement.

I responded that I would not pay any monies until I received some contractual paperwork verifying the deal existed. He mentioned that is was against the law to provide contractual info prior to payment. I asked for a copy of the loan docs from the buyer without any personal info visible or at least contact info of the escrow company who would be handling the transaction.

He responded that he could not do that until commission was received. I said: 'I will not pay any company any money until I verified there was an actual deal'. He said: "Well, I don't need you! - It's OK, I have other timeshares for sale for this client." I hung up after hearing this un-professionalism.

Beware: He was all nice at the beginning, then turned very unprofessinoal when I refused to pay up front for the service.

My Opinion: ANY sales commissions should be paid at time of closing escrow NOT upfront.
