I was dealing with Rick at Global Truck sales on 11/9/17 regarding a purchase of a 2007 Freightliner. I was told that "someone else was interested" in the Freightliner and that unless I put down $500 in cash to "hold it" I would run the risk of it being sold to someone else. I put the $500 down after being assured by Rick that the money is 100% refundable for any reason (text messages prove this conversation occurred between us) and that there was no risk in putting this money down.

I went to try and buy the truck a few days after I returned from an out of state trip and noticed a disgusting/trash material in the gas tank, which is dangerous. I also noticed that NO preventive maintenance had been done on the truck (oil changes, etc) that dealerships usually do prior to offering a vehicle for sale. I mentioned the issues that I found to Rick and he had the audacity to tell me that he would do the preventative maintenance and repairs IF I "paid half of the cost" for this maintenance and repairs (which is the dealerships' responsibility anyway).

I declined and told him that I would take my business elsewhere and asked for my $500 back. Rick refused to refund my money claiming that there was "no refunds on approved deals" and that there was no way that I could get my $500 back. He tried to sell me a lemon, a truck that potentially could be dangerous for a driver to own or operate. I told a friend who is also an owner-operator about this experience and he had a similar story and said that Global Truck Sales had ripped him off for $700. This company is very unethical and seems to thrive on ripping truckers off. I refused to buy the truck because I did not want to jeopardize my safety and create a money-pit for myself.

Dear customer, unfotunately we don't want you to feel that way. We try to run a legit and straight forward business after being open for 18yrs. The disclaimer was that if we couldn't get you approved your deposit is 100% refundable. Got you approved with all the terms you requested, if we had issues with the used truck you picked out it was no problem switching you out to another truck. I already had ordered contracts and had been working on your approval. I agreed that I would go half on the PM service after you made the request. This is something we normally don't do in our facility especially after giving the customer a discount price off the orignal listing. We would be more than gladly apply your deposit towards a purchase in the near future if you would like.
