Global Universal Tool Inc Prize Pool Winner Final Claim Notification Rainbow City, Alabama

I received a letter dated November 20. 2008 that I won $65,000. Enclosed was a check for $4950. I was told to deposit the check and then I had to write a check of $3,850 to a claims processing center prior to receiving the rest of my winnings.

I was very suspicious because the letter had a number of errors with the dates. When I called the number indicated on the letter, the man that I spoke with did not sound professional and that heightened my suspicion. Fortunately, my son suggested that I google the company information and I saw a report filed on 11/24 that this letter is a scam.

I do hope that everyone else that receives this letter take the necessary steps to verify its authenticity. It's a shame that these scammers have access to our names and residential addresses to send out these letters. I hope that they do not go unpunished.
