We should have known when they asked the following when they called :
(PS they called us for WEEKs - till we finally said yes)
1) husband and wife must be present
2) bring credit card
3) household income must meet criteria
4) promised tickets - just to listen

Ended up being there for nearly 3 hours - total waste of time. Wanted $10,000 dollar one time fee for access to vacation condos for life. By the end of meeting they were down to $3000!!!! Also wanted $400 per year - every year for LIFE if you use their condos. WE explained that we were not interested and they went from nice professional sales people to mean and agressive car salesmen.

As a matter of fact - the manager got so fed up that I didn't beleive in his product that he said to his rep -"Mark - gift them and get them out of here!" He was so rude. RUN AWAY - Please trust me - this is not worth your time - unless you are RETIRED and have money to spend - you will have better luck at a Casino.

Truthfully - I was almost convinced - but as soon as I started asking questions they got VERY stand offish and offended. I knew then it was NOT what was presented! I just met the manager JR Stone for the first time that night - was I really supposed to hand over $3000 to him without any due diligence or shopping around. Oh yeah, by the way - if you didn't buy that night it went back up to $10,500 entry fee - what is that crap???

RUN AWAY!!!

the manager has changed jobs

AUTHOR: scam investigator - (United States of America)

JR Stone now works for another scammy company called American Shingle. I have a friend who worked for them is how I know. JR Stone now goes by Ron Stone and is the manager of American Shingle in Charlotte. They file homeowner claims for unsuspecting home owners for their roof and if the insurance company approves the roof American Shingle gets cheap crews to install a new roof. They have a large sales force and go door to door telling people they have hail damage. Oh by the way my friend spent a fortune in gas and a lot of hours working for them and got almost nothing in return.BEWARE

First off, I saw someone mention they dont have an office in Fort Mill. As an ex-employee with this company I have traveled to this office many times and if you have not found it then you are looking in the wrong place. Secondly, I understand some people's view about "shopping around". In reality, most all-inclusive vacations will cost 2-4,000 for ONE vacation, let alone a life-time. The $400/ per year fee (actually $389) is ONLY THE YEARS YOU CHOOSE TO USE IT, thus making it very worth it considering you have the CHOICE to pay. I mean hell, most condominium accomodations cost at least $150 a night or more (not considering that once in a blue moon deal you get where you paid $70 per night, believe me here and there you will always find a deal on your own), so, really, how many trips do you have to take to make up for $3,000 over the course of your life and you children's? People only view it as a SCAM because it is a SALE. Because its a sale does not make it a scam. Believe me that this is a reputable company with a long background. If you use it the way it is intended to be used, it will work for you. Some sales reps lie, no doubt about it, and when a family buys it believing they can go to destinations they can't then they did get scammed, and I feel bad for those people, but you have to realize things in this world cost money, nobody in their right mind would give anything away. GSN buys the rights from Global Connections to sell the product to families as a one day sale incentive. It will go up later, of course, and nobody will put a gun to your head to buy anything that day. If its not for you, its not for you, but you're grown adults and you can make that decision on your own. Lastly, the gifts are pretty much junk, and EVERY timeshare/travel club (including the biggest names, i.e. Marriott, Hilton, etc.) offers similar gifts, if not the same, so DO NOT blame those on GSN, they are purchased from a third pary.
